Where Citevana uses AI

• Checking how AI answer engines mention and cite your website.
• Writing plain-language summaries and to-do lists.
• Drafting content briefs, content drafts and fix proposals.
• An in-product AI assistant (chat), when available.

Transparency under the EU AI Act

We design these features to meet the transparency obligations in Article 50 of the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689):

• When you chat with an AI assistant in Citevana, we tell you clearly that you are interacting with AI.
• Text and other content generated by AI in Citevana is labelled as AI-generated in the product, and marked in a machine-readable way where that is technically feasible.
• Fixes proposed by the fix-it agent are labelled as AI-generated proposals and are applied only after you approve them.

Human control

AI never publishes changes to your site on its own. You see a preview of every change, decide whether to approve it, and can undo it in one click. Every change is logged.

How we label AI visibility data

Every AI visibility metric shows how it was measured: "UI-observed" (captured from what an AI product shows to users) or "API-sampled" (collected through a provider's API). Results can vary between runs, locations and model versions.

Limits of AI

AI can make mistakes, miss context or produce outdated information. Review AI output before you rely on it.

AI training

We do not use your content or connected data to train AI models unless you opt in. Google user data is never used to train general AI models.
