Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Citevana By using https://citevana.com, the free tools or the Citevana platform, you agree to them. If you use Citevana for an organisation, you confirm you can accept these terms for it.

The service today

Citevana is live. The free plan and the free tools are available now. They are provided as they are, may change, and may sometimes be unavailable. Signing up for product-update emails is optional and does not affect your access.

Acceptable use

• Only submit URLs you are allowed to check, and do not use the tools to attack, overload or probe systems.
• Do not try to bypass rate limits, quotas or security measures.
• Do not use Citevana to break the law or other people's rights.
• Do not create fake accounts, sign-ups or referrals, for example to earn partner rewards.

The fix-it agent

The fix-it agent only applies changes that you approve after seeing a preview. You remain responsible for your website and the changes you approve. Every change can be rolled back and is logged. We recommend keeping your own backups.

Plans, billing and cancellation

The free plan is free forever. Prices for paid plans are shown on the pricing page and may change; we will tell you before a price change affects your subscription. Paid plans are billed in advance, with no surprise add-ons, and you can cancel yourself at any time from Billing in the app; cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period.

AI output

Some features use AI. AI output can be wrong or incomplete, so review it before relying on it. AI-generated content is labelled as such. See our AI disclosure for details.

Your content and our property

You keep ownership of your content and data. You give us permission to use it only to provide the service to you. Citevana, its software and its brand belong to Citevana

Third-party services

Some features connect to services such as Google, Bing or WordPress. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.

Aggregated data products

If we ever build anonymized, aggregated benchmarks or other data products from data connected through a service such as Google Search Console or Google Analytics, we will only include a site's data if you separately agreed to that. We ask for that decision before your first connection to the service, and either answer still lets you connect: declining just keeps that site's data out of any aggregate. You can change your answer at any time in Settings. This does not change the Google API data promises in our Privacy Policy, including that we never sell Google user data and never use it for advertising or to train general AI models.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Citevana is provided "as is" without warranties, and we do not guarantee any ranking, traffic or citation outcome. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using Citevana at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or put the service or others at risk.

Governing law

These terms do not name a governing law or an exclusive court, because the company behind Citevana is not yet incorporated and has no registered seat. This does not affect the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country you live in, or your right to bring a claim before the courts there. Once the company is incorporated, we will name the governing law and venue on this page and tell you before that change takes effect.
